In 2007 Best Kiteboarding deilers the second version of the excellent bow kite
Waroo. Two important new features:
- Little fibreglass batten to stabilize the shape
- A rear bridle with 2 puleys. This more sophisticated bridle give more rotating
speed
This is the normal setup of the bridle |
And here is the issue: it can tangle with the knot of the pulley. |
With this zoom, one can see how it can happen. Onece the lines are under tension, it stays like that. You can still steert the kite but it is unbalanced. Shaking the bar does not help. the only way to solve it is to put the kaite on the water and relaunch it, and it does not always work. |
Just return the way the pulley is attched to the kite. One way is to untie the knot and tie again the other side. anther way is to dismount the bridle and then return the attach. Here is the second way:
|
Take out the bridle from the first pulley |
||||
Then from the second | Remove the pulley |
||||
|
Tie again the knot and the pulley |
Maintenant si le brin du palan traine sur le sable, il en s'accroche plus à l'attache de la poulie au moment ou les lignes se mettent en tension.
|
Could it happen now from the inside with the knot on the other side?
I think it is much less probable, it is protected by the leadging edge.
In any case warn the person who helps to watch the state of the rear bridle when launching the kite
