The most dangerous error of attention

One of the first thing on eshould say to beginners with 4lines kites: Never invert front and rear line. The consequence can be very severe injuries. As said as the kite takes off, it goes in the window full speed out of control. the kitesurfer is brutally lifted and can lans several meter away on obstacles.

The safest way to prevent this mistake is to make it impossible by reverting knot and loop on the rear line. Now the rear line is ended by a knot and the loop is on the kite. This is the default setup on Takoon, Gaastra and Boom kites.

How to get a knot at the end of the rear line?

I did it on a F-ONE Mach1 and a Cabrinha CO2 2002

F-ONE MACH 1

initial setup
detach from the kite
return
pass into the line
attach a new little loop to the kite
et voilà

The 4 lignes:

Cabrinha CO2 2002

Cabrinha kites like the CO2 or Black Tip have the rear attache longer than the front one.Tor keep the 4 lignes roighly at the same length it is better to return the attach on the kite itself:

initial setup
return the attach and add a small one

making the knot
